Victorian Local Governments are now required to provide information to the Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) on how they are managing their infrastructure assets (at an aggregate level). This information is collected annually through council surveys.
The information is used to assess capacity and improvement in two areas of council asset management system; service delivery capability and financial sustainability.

DPCD Asset Management Survey Form
Victorian councils already using Assetic SAM (myValuer and myPredictor) for strategic asset management have the capability to directly generate the required reports for the DPCD survey without having to go through extra processes. Assetic SAM not only provides funding requirements for different categories in five year blocks (3.5 to 3.8, Form 3 Sustainability), it also provides expected service delivery targets based on life cycle analysis, funding requirements and gap analysis for changes in service levels (2.5 – 2.6 Form 2 Service Level Targets).
